What separates a supplier worth ordering from one that is not?
Verifiable provenance, a bank account in the company's registered name, willingness to be inspected, and candour about what they cannot do. The last one predicts the relationship better than any certificate.
A supplier who tells you a size ratio is broken, a lead time will slip, or a category is outside their competence is a supplier whose other statements are worth something. Uniform enthusiasm is not a good sign.
