Wholesale Belts from Bangladesh: Strap, Width and Buckle

A men's belt is defined by four specifications: strap material, strap width, buckle type and length. Every lot on this page states all four, so a buyer compares like with like before asking for a price.

Which belt lots are currently available?

No belts lots are listed right now. Lots appear here as they are counted in, so ask and we will check the warehouse and our supplier network.

Quantity is confirmed at enquiry and not held by the listing. Buyers booking freight ask us to confirm the count first. The full range of ready stock held in Dhaka shows which garments pair with these belts in a single consignment.

What belt widths and materials are held?

Men's dress belts run 30 to 35 mm wide; casual and work belts run 38 to 40 mm. Strap materials are leather, PU-coated fabric, woven webbing and elastic, and the lot sheet names the one used.

What belt widths and materials are held
StyleTypical widthTypical strap
Dress30–35 mmLeather or PU
Casual35–38 mmLeather, PU or canvas
Work and utility38–40 mmLeather or webbing
Stretch30–35 mmElastic with trim

Width determines which belt loops the strap passes through. Trouser loops on tailored styles take 30 to 35 mm; heavier twill and cargo styles take 38 mm and above, so buyers pairing belts with twill pants choose the wider band.

How are belt sizes and buckle types specified?

Belt size is the trouser waist size plus 2 inches (5 cm), measured from the buckle fold to the centre hole. Holes sit 25 mm apart, and buckle types are pin, plate, automatic ratchet and reversible.

Pin buckles have a fixed set of holes. Ratchet (automatic) buckles adjust in 6 to 10 mm increments along teeth on the strap's back and need no holes. A reversible buckle rotates to show a black or brown face on a two-sided strap.

Lots state the size run actually held, for example a count per waist size, and the distribution is irregular on surplus lots. A buyer checks the run against a store's customer profile before agreeing a price. Quantities in bulk consignments sit in the stock lots section, where factory lot quantities are listed by condition.

Are belts in stock leather or synthetic?

Lots contain both. Genuine hide belts and PU belts are listed separately, and each lot states which it is. A PU belt is a polyurethane film on a fabric base; it is not leather, and it is priced as a different product.

Leather belts split into full-grain and top-grain straps, and bonded-leather straps made from compressed fibre also reach the market. The leather goods overview explains the grades. Buyers verify material by examining the strap's cut end, where hide shows a fibrous layered edge and PU shows a coated fabric base.

Hardware also differs: zinc alloy buckles are standard at lower price points, while stainless steel and brass appear on higher ones. Plating wear on the pin and loop shows within weeks of retail use.

How are belts packed for export?

Belts ship coiled or flat, one per polybag, with a hang tag or barcode label where the buyer specifies it, packed in master cartons by size. Goods leave Bangladesh through the port of Chattogram.

A buyer with retail display requirements states the packing format before packing begins: coiled strap in a bag, a flat-packed boxed gift belt, or a hook-hung style each need a different carton configuration. Reworking a packed carton costs more than specifying it at order.

Belts classify under HS heading 4203 when made of leather and under a different heading when made of textile or plastic, per the HS codes guide.
